HEA? Yes.

Cheating: No

This is a newer edition to the book initially published by another publishing company in 2010 under the author’s aka name of Sophie Oak. Oddly, I actually liked the old cover better because it’s one of those cheesy Halequin-type covers, and I love cheesy when it comes to romance novels.

I found this at a garage sale (of all things) held by this little old lady who let me have the paperback copy for ten cents. As far as 10 cent spending goes, I feel like I got a good return on my investment and a better bet than the devotional Christian books also in the box. I don’t know if this old lady was a pastor’s wife or what, but I kind of want the story of why she had about 40 devotional books and 1 book about ménage in a Colorado town where anything goes. But I digress.

The good: The ménage sex, when it finally happens, is hot. There’s a bit of oral. A bit of DP. Everyone seems to be having a good time.

The bad: The ménage sex, and the ménage in general, didn’t even happen until the 80% mark. Until that time, we get a lot of plot with our heroine, Rachel, running from a stalker and we get some relationship building with Rachel and Max. Rachel and Max have a bit of sexy time but other than a near-jerkoff experience in the shower because of a twin mixup, there’s no ménage or throuple growth for the good majority of the book.

Verdict: Good for some sex scenes and a Saturday snow day read. However, if you’re looking for menage, menage, menage and want tawdry scenes spread throughout, you may want to look elsewhere.

Stars: 3 stars (1-5)

Summary on Amazon:

A stalker sent Rachel’s world reeling. Now she’s running for her life, and Bliss, CO, seems like the perfect place to hide. Bliss is a strange little town, filled with artists, nudists, and the occasional conspiracy nut. It’s a good place to start over.

Max and Rye are just the men to catch her.

Horse trainer Max and Sheriff Rye gave up on their dream of finding one perfect woman to share long ago. Rachel walks in, and they’re both in love and fighting their true natures.

A town like no other….

When Rachel’s past catches up with her, all of Bliss is in danger. Rachel knows she should run, but how can she leave behind the love she’s found with Max and Rye and the home she’s built in Bliss? With her whole town behind her, Rachel is ready to make her stand. It’s time for her to get back in the saddle and ride.
